This photo comes from Paul Darling, which was taken as the sun sets on the crowd of more than 650 that gathered for the 17th America's Cup Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Somewhere in the crowd is BMW Oracle Racing CEO Russell Coutts explaining what he meant when he said that the next America's Cup would be for the Facebook generation.

When Scott Ferguson (USA) isn't busy designing grand prix racing spars, he gets back to his roots in the Laser. Last week Scott won the Laser Standard Master division at the Laser Masters World Championships in Hayling Island, England.




On 20th September 2010 at 1533 hours, FONCIA, Michel Desjoyeaux’ new 60 foot Imoca 60, was launched in Port-La-Forêt. This latest VPLP/Verdier design, whose design was completed back in January, has been built and assembled in record time (6 months). Michel and his team now have 40 days to get the feel for this original monohull prior to the start of the Route du Rhum on 31st October 2010.
