The D-One class, which comes from Luca Devoti's speed shop that builds Finns and Melges boats, is a new singlehander that sails with main only upwind and adds an A-Sail for downwind. Thirty boats were in Valencia last week, where 14 nations were represented at the first Magic Marine BetPro D-One Gold Cup that was won by Argentinean Agustin Zabalua.






Sunsets are intoxicating - avoid operating heavy equipment. Thanks to Robert Austin-LaFrance for the photo from Great Salt Pond, Block Island, RI (upper) and to Carlo Borlenghi for the image from Les Voiles de St Tropez.
