BMW Oracle Racing CEO Russell Coutts enjoys some leisure time with his son on one of the Bitter End Yacht Club's Hobie Waves. Coutts is one of the skippers at the 24th Annual Bitter End Pro Am Regatta on Virgin Gorda, BVI. Photo by Tom Leweck.

The long awaited Rogers 82 is near completed. Construction began with Eric Goetz Custom Sailboats, but was halted when construction disputes and cashflow issues left countless vendors unpaid (including Scuttlebutt). Carbon Ocean Yachts in Bristol, Rhode Island emerged from the mess to finish the project, with the anticipated launch later in November. Click here for details.

The first St. Francis Yacht Club Team Race Championship was sailed on the Cityfront last weekend, featuring the club's brand new J-22 club fleet with 5 teams competing. The winning teams skippers were Harrison Turner, Edward Conrad, and Stanford sailor Nick Dugdale. The boats will be back out on the water November 6 & 7 for the first StFYC Club Match Race Championship, with a fleet that includes Genny Tulloch who won the Rolex Osprey Cup in October, and who is a member of the US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics. Genny is also the current US Sailing Women's Match Race Champion. Genny will be up against Shawn Bennett, who won the US Sailing Prince of Wales Bowl in September. Photos by Chris Ray.

Doug Smith sends us this photo of the Tripp 26 'Apparent Tripp', taken as the crew reach out for adult refreshments from the beverage boat.

We think that Marjolein van Aanholt-Grol sent in this picture of a Sunfish race in Curacao to completely torture the majority of us that don't live in Curacao. Either that, or to tell us to get our butt down there for the 2011 Sunfish World Championship.
