Buying a boat in the beginning of winter must be torture, but that is what Jesse Mulder did when he pulled the trigger on a Beneteau 25 Platu. Here he is picking it up in the UK and bringing it home to the Netherlands. He is shaping the hull at the moment and as soon as the ice is gone he'll be out sailing.






The goal of the PlanetSolar team is to be the first to circumnavigate the globe in a “solar” boat, powered by a silent, pollution-free electrical engine, driven exclusively by solar energy. They are on day 66, and on their way from Miami, FL to the Panama Canal before heading up north to San Francisco, CA, then across to Sydney, Australia to finish their mission.




When current Bahamian National Junior Champion, 17 year old Christopher Sands, beat his senior rivals on Montagu Bay recently to become 2010 National Laser Champion, he demonstrated two things: that getting old must suck and that sailing Lasers in the Bahamas is a pretty sweet way to grow up.
