The Newport Shipyard is a major hub of marine activity in Newport, RI, and the Newport Shipyard 'bird' is their logo. But in Abu Dhabi? Maybe it's true... if you love it set it free.   Tradition meets progress as the Dubai Traditional 43ft Dhow and kitesurfers share the Persian Gulf in the UAE.  The 2011 Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race, which runs every other year on the odd year, takes the fleet on a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The 8th running will the this June.  A fire at McCotter’s Marina in Washington, NC earlier this mont resulted in three people being treated for minor injuries and damaged or destroyed at least 25 boats.    The prototype AC 45, which will be the racing platform for the America's Cup teams this year, was launched this week in Auckland, NZL. In 2012 teams will step up to the larger AC 72.
