Not sure how high they stack containers, but at two high USA 17 is taking the space of 100 boxes. Traveling now from Valencia to San Francisco, but don't expect to see 17 sailing until Summer 2012.




With the announcement this week in Scuttlebutt that Marvin H. Green Jr had died, memories of his yacht Nirvana came flooding in. Here is a photo that Larry Moran took of Nirvana and Kialoa V from the 1983 SORC during the Miami to Nassau Race. Ah, the good old days!






It seems like just yesterday when we were berating those that allowed then 16 year old Jessica Watson (AUS) to sail solo around the world. Now the Australian Government last week awarded her the honour of being declared ‘Young Australian of the Year’, and the next day she went out with the Australian 18 Footers Leaguers.
