Ken Legler, who was PRO for the 2010 Opti New England Championships, shows his system of mid line boats that he used for the 44 races. With 80 boats in each race, he had no general recalls, no Z or black flag starts, had 33 "all clear" starts and 11 starts with a small number of boats over. Impressive!
The 2011 Charlotte Harbor Regatta wrapped up last weekend in Charlotte Harbor, Florida, where 84 boats in 11 classes made it the largest regatta in the harbor’s history.

The sailing superyacht world may soon see a new class of highly competitive 100-foot cruising yachts: the Wallycento. Wally is currently finalising the negotiations for the first two Wallycentos, due for delivery in 2012.
One of the more interesting new boats to be displayed at this year's Miami International Boat Show (February 17-21) is EzyBoat - a compact pod that quickly and easily opens to becomes a 14-foot fiberglass runabout, fishing boat or daysailer.
