Co-skipper Jean-Pierre Dick and Loick Peyron sailing the Open 60 Virbac-Paprec 3 have rounded Cape Horn and are now heading north in the Atlantic Ocean toward the finish of the Barcelona World Race.  Photographer Sara Proctor was on top of Point Loma in San Diego to capture the racing area of the 2011 Etchells World Championship. Here she finds the local Etchells Fleet 13 wrapping up their local Worlds qualifying series last weekend.   The risks of riding on the stern of the RC44 are not falling off the boat or getting hit by anything. The risk is in looking like a dork. Here Scuttlebutt editor Craig Leweck shows how not wearing team gear, being the only person wearing a life jacket, using a handheld HD video camera with reading glasses on is no way to look cool.  Now running into their third decade, the Richmond Yacht Club on San Francisco Bay held their annual Sail A Small Boat Day last weekend. A grass root event, it presents a great opportunity for sailors looking for a new smaller family ride, to complete novices a chance to get out on a variety of craft at no expense.
