This week got snotty at the third event of the ISAF Sailing WorldCup - Trofeo Princesa Sofia in Palma, ESP - where offshore winds up to 30 knots were snapping Star masts. Fans of the Discover Channel show 'Extreme Engineering' will recognize the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in the background. The winds did not cooperate for Frenchman Thomas Coville as he failed to set a new solo singlehanded round the world record, but the crowds still celebrated his effort.
