Youth sailors from all over the United States converged last week on Alamitos Bay Yacht Club in Long Beach, CA to participate in the 2011 CISA Advanced Racing Clinic. Here are images of the new TR 3.6 team racing dinghy sailing in Schull, Co Cork Ireland, the venue for this year's ISAF Team Racing World Championship on Aug 27-Sept 4. Twenty-five of these boats will be supplied for the Worlds. The TR 3.6 is an institutionalized Firefly, using the same hull and sail plan but cheaper to build and to repair.   If you live in areas that get a 'real' winter, it doesn't take much for the boardshorts to come out in the spring. But one dude from Yale looks to be ahead of the curve. Photos by Ken Legler.
