Scuttlebutt Photos of the Week April 29, 2011 Here is a random assortment of photos from the sport. Click here to submit your photos for consideration.  Not your typical regatta photo. The updates received at Scuttlebutt World Headquarters from the Caribbean events are as much about the parties as they are about the racing. This photo comes from Antigua Sailing Week, which had a Lay Day prior to this concert with activities, according to the regatta update, that included "the return of the greasy pole and wet T-shirt competition."    The new breed of VO 70s are coming out of the shed for the 2011-12 Volvo Ocean Race. Top to bottom are Team Telefonica, Camper with Emirates Team New Zealand, and PUMA Ocean Racing.  Why rent a helicopter when the Golden Gate Bridge is available. Here photog Erik Simonson snaps a shot from the OYRA Light Ship, a 25 mile romp outside the bay to the SF Entrance Buoy and back.  On Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch, GA, here is Thistle 3444 with owner Marian Beauchamp at the helm and sons Thomas and Robert as mid and foredeck crew. As contributing photographer James Beauchamp tells us, this is a "proud Father/Husband moment!"  The opening regatta of the 2011 Mediterranean sailing season is the Mapfre PalmaVela trophy in Palma de Mallorca. We think this 143-foot Wally yacht would be a nice way to ease into regatta schedule.
