"I have been editing some older images for my next book, and I keep coming across fashion 'do's and don'ts'. This image of Sidewinder was in my 1989 Ultimate Sailing Calendar, here power reaching in the Big Boat Series on San Francicsco Bay. I guess pink was in that year. I am sure I was wearing big shoulder pads in those days too." - Sharon Green, photographer

Now that the Men's Keelboat sailing event has been removed for the 2016 Olympics, the question is whether it can ever return for future Games. And if it might, would it have to use a boat with modern characteristics than the Star. The SB3 would be on the list, which this week has 103 boats at its World Championship in the UK. Photo by Cube Images/Brian Carlin.

"I shot this on our sail back to the harbor after sailing reefed down through a storm with 30+ knots of breeze... Made for a beautiful sunset!" -Brian Dawes
