Scuttlebutt Photos of the Week September 16, 2011 Here is a random assortment of photos from the sport. Click here to submit your photos for consideration.  The only winner out of this collision might be Rolex, and even they probably regret this image. Illusion misjudged the distance and went straight into Kora 5. One person flew into the water, two people broke their ribs, one had severe leg burns and three people went to hospital. Click here for more photos of the crash by Ingrid Abery. We didn't get any racing photos from the 2011 Beneteau First 36.7 North American Championship, but Ken Mitchell did send this photo from the hockey game that was held during the event. You should have already figured out that the regatta was held in Canada, that the hockey game was a cross border battle, and that the Canadians won. As for the regatta, click here for the results.  It has been popular among the photographers at the America's Cup World Series event in Plymouth, UK to work the ferris wheel into the background. Photo by Pierrick Contin.  While there were several boats at the Star European Championship in Ireland with national flags on their mainsail, Canadians Richard Clarke and Tyler Bjorn get extra credit for nationalizing their stern.
