From Michael Rosenauer: "This photo was from a video taken August 4 after a race on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. A passing squall had dialed the wind into the 30s. We had the A7 up on our Farr 36OD and were in the 20s for boatspeed in medium waves. You don't see anybody in front of Robbie as we were all in the back catching lines and empty Gatorade bottles that were floating out the stern."

The 2012 J/105 North Americans are coming to San Diego, and local resident Dennis Conner recently bought 'Pholly' to enter the event. And he renamed it...sort of.

From Frank Atkinson, Rigging Systems: "I Was doing a fun delivery with some Etchells buddies from Sitka to Ketchikan in Alaska, and when we pulled into Petersburg, AK to get some fuel, we saw this long liner parked at the dock."

Ker 40 Catapult owned by Marc Glimcher (New York, N.Y.) was the big winner of the 2012 Ida Lewis Distance Race. Photo by ILDR/Meghan Sepe.

You got to love the engineers who design the wing so it permits the crew to crash through it with minimal harm to the wing... and the crew. Photo by Luna Rossa/Carlo Borlenghi.

The Australian olympic team were honored with a parade at Audi Hamilton Island Race Week. There is no truth to the rumor that 49er crew Iain Jensen (left) was pointing out to Laser king Tom Slingsby a young lass who was hoping they would throw her one of their gold medals if she flashed the olympians.
