Peter Heausler and dad Tommy won the 2012 Sweet 16 National Championships at Lake Jacomo in Kansas City, MO. The Sweet 16’s were constructed in Kansas City in the 1970’s and a total of 700 were built. The boats are very durable and are like a smaller Flying Scot. As a result of their durability and a loyalty to the class in the Midwest, there are 40 year veterans racing against relative newcomers, like 16 year old Peter Heausler.
