VIDEO: Weta sailors focus on the fun.

This week in Fort Walton Beach, FL, about 25 Wetas will come together for 2014 WetaFest. Last year the event was won by Randy Smyth and Toni Sacco, or vice versa in super windy conditions.

This year should sport more relaxed conditions as most sailors will compete singlehanded, though a class start is provided for double. Ace New Zealand skipper Miranda Powrie will be on hand to show off her Kiwi skills. Weta sailors will be coming from around the country including the man behind the camera for four days of fun gathering and racing.

It’s not a class of the most serious racers, but serious fun.
