Henry Marshall Tops North Americans at Laser Europeans

Las Palmas, Spain (March 4, 2016) – Swedish Jesper Stalheim (Laser Standard), Dutch Marit Bouwmeester (Laser Radial women), Polish Marcin Rudawski (Laser Radial men) and Canarian Ismael Iess (Laser Radial under-21) have been announced winners of the Laser European Championship.

This event ended with 12 races that had all conditions of wind and waves, making it very exciting for sailors to compete. The last day of the championship offered sailors with 8-12 knots and a typical long wave from the Atlantic.

Top North Americans came from USA: Charlie Buckingham (16th, Laser Standard), Paige Railey (14th, Laser Radial Women), Henry Marshall (5th, Laser Radial Men).

The event on February 28 to March 4 was organized by the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, the European Laser Class Association (Eurilca) and the Royal Spanish Sailing Association in Gran Canaria.
