2021 Etchells Midwinter’s East

Due to the COVID situation in Florida, the four stage 2020-21 Etchells Biscayne Bay Series was reduced to two events, concluding with the Midwinter’s East Regatta on April 16-18 in Miami, FL. The smaller than usual fleet of 21 teams incurred winds from 8 to 12 knots and a mix of flat water, waves, and some treacherous chop. After eight races, George Francisco’s team of Chris Larson and John Von Schwarz won a tie-breaker over Scott Kaufman, while Jud Smith won the final race to finish two points back in third.
