2021 California Cup Regatta

Thirty-one J/70 teams competed in the 52nd California Cup Regatta on June 25-27 in Marina del Rey, CA. This year’s event was an invitational for boats entered in the 2021 J/70 World Championship to be held at the same venue in August. Ryan McKillen’s Surge took top honors in the eight race event, besting past World Champion Joel Ronning on Catapult by three points. Pat Toole and his crew of Oliver Toole, Dale Turley, and George Witter took top Corinthian team honors, finishing 8th overall.
