Key West, FL (February 9, 2022) – After having 45 boats compete in the inaugural edition of The Southernmost Regatta last month, the second edition is now confirmed. The 2023 edition will see racing from January 16 – January 20, 2023 with 9 races planned for the regatta.

“We were thrilled with the excitement and turnout surrounding The Southernmost Regatta this year, and our team was so excited to confirm it coming back in 2023. January sailing in Key West is absolutely top-notch, and our team can’t wait to see another successful edition this year,” said Ryan Ruhlman of The Sailing Inc.

Registration is open now on Yachtscoring. The NOR is posted with likely classes including Melges 24s, J-70s, J-111s, ORC, and others based on interest.

“With such a successful inaugural edition, we kept hearing from all the competitors about how much fun they had both on and off the water. So we were excited to keep the racing in Key West alive for another go in 2023,” said Regatta Chairman Marty Kullman.

Andrew Ward, winner of the J-111 class in 2022 said, “Key West is my favorite place to sail in the winter with warm blue waters and perfect sailing conditions. We can’t wait to go back in 2023.”
