Sail Canada in partnership with David Cripton have launched a podcast series focusing on Canadian sailing called Whitecap, with 49erFX Olympians Ali ten Hove and Mariah Millen featured in Episode 5.

Ali ten Hove and Mariah Millen represented Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and currently campaigning for Paris 2024. As a team they have a combined 12 years experience competing for their country on the world stage and both have Sail Canada Awards – Mariah having won the Marvin McDill Rookie of the Year Award and Ali received the Bill Burke Award for youth Elite sailors.

Ali also campaigned for the 2016 Games in the 470 with Ali Surette, qualifying Canada for the Olympics but the program elected not to send them. The team talked about ovearcoming nerves, the tight competition with the Lewin-Lafrance sisters, and their motto: “Make friends, have fun, sail fast!”
