Start on Thursday looks likely for Transat Jacques Vabre

Published on November 4th, 2013

Following the decision by the organisers to delay the start on Sunday of the 5460 miles Transat Jacques Vabre race from Le Havre to Itajaí, Brazil, a start on Thursday November 7 now looks likely. According to current weather forecasts there is a weather window for Thursday before a big depression arrives on Saturday. The doublehanded race has 44 entrants, representing 12 countries, competing in four different classes (Class40, Open 60, Multi50, and MOD 70).
