VIDEO: The Bedsheets of Maranhão

This video was filmed in various rainwater pools of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, located in northeastern Brazil. The literal meaning being ‘The bedsheets of Maranhão’, the name is easier to understand when viewed from an arial perspective. Some say it looks just like linen hung out to dry with all the fresh water pools acting as ripples in the linen blowing in the wind.

“A natural beauty as a whole, this national park is one of the most fascinating on earth,” remarked Hannah Whiteley. “After seeing pictures on the internet I had to find out myself if it truly looked like this with my own eyes and, of course, if I could kite there.”
