Big Breeze for Start of RC44 Bermuda Cup

Published on March 2nd, 2016

(March 2, 2016) – With winds on the opening day of the RC44 Bermuda Cup reaching the high 20s, PRO Peter Reggio made the call to halt racing and not complete the full match racing schedule planned.

Despite an outstanding day for 2015 match racing season champion Bronenosec Sailing Team, winning five out of six races, two penalty points knocked them down to fourth on the leaderboard. Finishing with 4-2 records were Team Aqua, Artemis Racing, and Team Nika, with the teams in the order after tiebreakers.

The regatta continues to March 6 with four days of fleet racing on Bermuda’s Great Sound.
