Membership Has Its Privileges

The members of Arizona Yacht Club have been sailing on the appropriately named Lake Pleasant since 1958. Located 30 minutes north of Phoenix, they know their waters well and now are touting a new layer of ‘local knowledge’.

Dana Murdoch, owner of the Thumb Butte Distillery in Prescott, AZ (and also a sailor), got together with AYC board member Victor Felice to concoct the exclusive ‘Arizona Yacht Club Black Label Rum’.

It is a dark, rich, honey-like rum distilled from Panela sugar from Latin America and aged in American White Oak. This is a top-shelf sipping rum, closely related to the rums of the Caribbean or South America.
