Slow Start for Match Race Circuit

Published on January 8th, 2017

The first stop of the three-event California Dreamin’ Match Race Series was held January 7-8 in San Diego, CA. Organizers and racers were challenged by light and shifty conditions on the city-front course, managing five flights on Saturday but on Sunday the winds never produced enough for a single race. Nicole Breault of St Francis Yacht Club, and her Vela Racing teammates Molly Carapiet, Karen Loutzenheiser, and Hannah Burroughs, took the title.
