Hall of Fame to Request Lease Extension

The U.S. National Sailing Hall of Fame needs more time to raise money for its planned development of a 12,000-square-foot building on City Dock in Annapolis, MD. The nonprofit organization is planning to appear before the Maryland Board of Public Works on Feb. 8 to request another three-year extension of its lease with the state, a deal in which the organization pays $1 a year. A deadline of Feb. 23 was set and at the time the museum has to prove it can begin construction. Full report.
