Jennifer Thompson, Senior Vice President of NMMA (National Marine Manufacturers Association) Shows, was named the first female president of the International Federation of Boat Show Organizers (IFBSO) at their annual conference in Split, Croatia. Thompson replaces Goetz-Ulf Jungmichael following his third two-year tenure.

IFSBO is an organization made of international member organizations that help foster cost-effective, quality exhibitions for the recreational marine industry around the world. IFBSO provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and development of co-operation between members that also encourages all members to commit to environmental sustainability around all aspects of member’s shows.

“I am honored to be a part of this impressive group of professionals representing the leading boat shows in the world,” said Thompson. “Over the next two years we plan to focus on how we can further collaborate, particularly on the topic of sustainability and our commitment made last year to reduce and eliminate single-use plastics in our shows as part of the #ReThinkPlastic campaign.”
