Keeping everyone on the same page become harder as numbers increases, so we applaud this effort in New Zealand, a country of just over five million people, to manage its overall sport’s culture:
Sport and recreation are important parts of people’s lives in New Zealand – we have some of the highest participation rates in the world and a global reputation for fairness.
We know that sport and recreation contribute to health and well-being and can bring communities together in a positive environment. But we also know that there are real issues with bullying, unfair treatment, discrimination, match-fixing, and other forms of cheating.
