2023 US Sailing Reach Impact Report

Since its inception in 2012, Reach, US Sailing’s education initiative, teaches science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts using sailing as an educational platform. To measure program performance, US Sailing has released the 2023 Reach Initiative Impact Report.

The report focuses on the 2023 grant recipients which supported 10 programs that were just beginning to implement STEM or starting a new STEM program within their existing offerings.

These programs sought to engage their community and local partners on a new level through their STEM programming using the Reach curriculum and resources. Staff and volunteers from these organizations enrolled in the online Reach Educator Course to learn new techniques for offering hands-on lessons to their sailors while incorporating a variety of STEM concepts.
