Women’s Worlds coming to Chicago

The 2025 Women’s Match Racing World Championship will be held at the Chicago Yacht Club’s Belmont Station on September 16-20 in Chicago, IL. The event will feature up to 12 teams on board the Tom28 – a 28ft one design boat engineered for match racing. Chicago Yacht Club was host of the 2024 US Women’s Match Racing Championship.

“Chicago has a long tradition of supporting and fostering match racing on the fresh waters of Lake Michigan,” noted Chicago Yacht Club Member and Regatta Chair, Jen Dorsch. “Chicago Yacht Club is honored to continue that tradition.”

The 2024 Women’s Match Racing World Championship took place November 29-December 2 at the Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina where the Normandy Elite Team skippered by Pauline Courtois recorded 21 wins from 21 matches to secure the title ahead of Team 2.0 from New Zealand.
