Seahorse Sailor of the Month

Seahorse magazine hosts a monthly poll to recognize recent achievement, and Scuttlebutt is leaning in for the February 2026 vote to support North American interests:

MOLLY VANDEMOER (USA)
US Sailing Board, World Sailing Events Committee, Director of the US Peninsula Youth Sailing Foundation, youth sailing outreach and development officer to the US Club 420 Board, 2025 USA Women’s Match Racing Champion, mother of two youngsters, busy school community volunteer, on point for a new US Youth High Performance Sailing Centre. ARIANE DE ROTHSCHILD (FRA)
Without this lady there would be no Gitana 18 to salivate over… The co-founder of the Gitana offshore racing team back in 2000, Ariane remained a staunch supporter of Rothschild’s sailing activities through a turbulent period for the family owned group of which she is now the CEO. The call to build a new Ultim when Gitana 17 was still winning races took enthusiasm, foresight and no doubt serious cojones in the boardroom for this ex-SocGen trader…
