PHOTO: And you thought winter was bad

Published on June 2nd, 2014

Around noon on June 2, a small but very strong thunderstorm blew through DuSable Harbor in Chicago, causing the chains on D and E docks to break free from their anchors. Repair crews have successfully re-attached one dock and expect repairs to be completed by end of day Tuesday (June 3). Fortunately, it appears there were only a few boats with minor, cosmetic damage. Both D and E dock access will be restricted while repairs are completed. Photo courtesy of Chicago Harbors.
