Rae rallies at Etchells Biscayne Bay Series

Forty-six teams competed in the 2019 Florida State Championship, the third event of the four-stage Etchells Biscayne Bay Series, held February 9-10 in Miami, FL. After suffering a 25th in the opening race on Biscayne Bay, Tony Rae with his crew of Andrew Palfrey and Ben Lamb posted all top three scores to win the five race series by seven points over Jose Fuentes with Andrew Cumming four points back in third.

Louis Piana Cup Regatta December 8 & 9, 2018
Sidney Doren Memorial Regatta January 5 & 6, 2019
Florida State Championship February 9 & 10, 2019
Mid-Winter’s East Regatta March 1 – 3, 2019

To qualify for the overall 2018-19 Etchells Biscayne Bay Series prizes, boats must include their score in the Mid-Winter’s Regatta and any two of the other three individual regattas (Piana Cup, Sidney Doren Memorial, or Florida State Championship). Overall scores from each individual regatta of the series will be used employing The Low Point System (1st Place = 1 point, 2nd Place = 2 points, 3rd Place = 3 points, etc.). The boat with the lowest score will be declared the overall winner of the 2018 Biscayne Bay Regatta Series.
