While competitive sailing is fatigued as the recreational game gets professionalized, we can’t lose sight with how people onshore still look with envy toward boaters on the bay.

As T-Pain and Andy Samberg once proclaimed, “I’m on a boat. I’m on a boat. Everybody look at me, cause I’m sailing on a boat.”

Indeed, nautical life is certainly worth celebrating. You’re just different when you’re out on the seas. You can leave your worries back on land, and just be some different if not more evolved or authentic version of your self.

And while any boat ride worth taking at all will take you out of cell phone service range, it certainly would be the utmost of missed opportunities not to document your experience convening with the sea breeze and sunshine and upload it to social media. You were on a boat. Everybody needs to look at you (cause you were sailing on a boat).
