2013 Mini 650 Pacific Challenge

Published on July 7th, 2013

(July 7, 2013) – With five singlehanded entrants for the first ever Mini 650 Pacific Challenge, only three of the 21-foot offshore boats were at the July 6 start, with now just two competing in the 2200 nm non-stop route across the Pacific Ocean from Los Angeles to Honolulu. Przemeyslaw Karwasiecki dropped out within hours after the start, with Sean McGinn and Jerome Sammarecelli struggling through a calm night and working today to clear the Channel Islands and seek the offshore winds to propel them toward Hawaii.
