Published on October 20th, 2013

The technology behind America’s Cup Television received the Sportel Innovation Prize, a Golden Podium award for outstanding technical achievement in broadcast. AC LiveLine, the revolutionary graphics package developed for the America’s Cup, was a centrepiece of the award-winning footage.

The Golden Podium Awards were created in 1991 by Georges Bertellotti and has been supported by the International Olympic Committee since its inception. This international competition highlights the Best Sports Images of the year by rewarding TV sports directors.

The presentation was part of the World Sports Content Media Convention (Sportel) in Monaco on October 15.
