Don Wilson and Stephanie Roble begin 2014 as Number One U.S. Match Racers

Finishing 2013 as the number one U.S. Open Match Racer is Don Wilson (Chicago, IL), sailing from the Chicago Match Race Center (CMRC), who finished the year strong by winning the Carlos Aguilar Grade 2 Match Race in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In second is Chris Poole (Portland, Maine) and his Riptide Racing Team, sailing from Oakcliff Sailing, on his two wins at the Oakcliff Sailing Spring and Summer Invitationals. In third is Dustin Durant (Long Beach, CA) with two wins in the California Dreamin’ Series and a fourth at the Ficker Cup. Rounding out the top five are David Storrs (Southport, CT) on his win of the Oakcliff June Invitational and fifth place finish in the CMRC Grade 2, and Wisconsin native Stephanie Roble (East Troy, WI) and her Epic Team Racing. Roble also finished the year as the number one U.S. women’s match racer.
