The 32nd edition of the biennial San Diego to Vallarta International Yacht Race started off Shelter Island at noon on both Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, offering excellent opportunities for spectators to watch the starts from land. Twenty-three entrants are on the 1000 mile southerly slide toward Mariachis, Margaritas, and beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Race website: www.sdyc.org/pv
