Live Coverage: Extreme Sailing Series Hamburg

The ninth season of the Extreme Sailing Series™ on July 23-26 holds its fifth event with nine teams competing on the busy waters of the River Elbe in Hamburg, Germany.

The 2015 Extreme Sailing Series is an eight event tour travelling through Asia, Europe, and Australia, where teams compete using the evenly-matched one design Extreme 40 catamaran on short-course tracks in front of the public.

Hamburg will provide one of the tightest courses ever staged by the Series, with cruise liners and other commercial craft having to make room for the racing. Add strong tidal currents and the vagaries of the weather and you have all the ingredients for what promises to be a superb weekend of racing in front of thousands of fans.

Bringing a fresh voice to the programme 2014/15 Volvo Ocean Race commentator Jo Pickard will be presenting joined by Series expert Nick Moloney, providing insight into what is happening on the water. The live coverage includes the multi-camera feed and onboard camera, as well as analytics from our technical partner SAP.
