No Racing Today at Women’s Keelboat Champs

Rye, NY (August 18, 2016) – After no racing happened today at the International Women’s Keelboat Championship due to lack of wind, the leaderboard remains the same. Allie Blecher of Long Beach, California leads the International Women’s Keelboat Championship, having completed 17 races with 60 total points for an average score of 3.53. Melinda Henshaw of Remuera, New Zealand is second with 63 points over 17 races for an average of 3.71 points, and Clemmie Everett of Rye, N.Y. is third with 58 points over 15 races (3.87).

At the conclusion of stage 1, the 10 best ranked teams will advance to stage 3. The remaining teams will advance to a stage 2. Stage 2, the Consolation Round, will consist of a series of 3 races with all teams that did not qualify for stage 3 competing in each race. Stage 3, the Championship Round will consist of a series of 5 races of with 10 teams competing in each race.
