First known as the Whitbread Round the World, and then the Volvo Ocean Race, the newly branded 2021-22 The Ocean Race will feature the high-tech, foiling IMOCA 60 class along with a third lap for the one-design VO65, but this edition will see this fleet with new rules on age and crew diversity. The race course of the 2021-22 edition will be determined over the first six months of 2019 but will start in the autumn of 2021 from Alicante, Spain.
