Who is your dream regatta band?

Published on March 26th, 2020

Saying the Yacht Club de Monaco is swanky is like asking the Curmudgeon if he wants a free drink. Somethings need not be said. But when this sailing club on the French Riviera has Sting and Lionel Ritchie playing at their parties, well, they drop the mic.

But what if your regatta party needed a band, and you were playing with superyacht dollars, what band would your bling buy? Who would groove your people into the night?

The Yacht Rock genre is a thing, and Spotify and iHeartRadio have their play lists. Would you hire Christopher Cross, Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Styx, Journey, or Van Morrison? The low hanging fruit would be Jimmy Buffet, or would he be the no brainer for this gig? More on Yacht Rock from The Wall Street Journal.
