Scuttlebutt: TV and Website Sailing Shows

Listed here are the websites providing streaming sailing shows, and any television programming in North America that we have learned about. Always check local listings or available website links for schedule changes. Click here to submit information to add to or update these listings.

  • t2p.tv Network (www.t2p.tv): Providing online sailing shows of major regattas and other programming available on demand.

  • Sail TV Player (Sail.tv): Providing continuous online sailing programming, with great on-demand footage available now of many prominent worldwide events.

  • High TV Player (High.tv): Providing continuous online programming on a variety of action sports (not all about sailing, but all fairly extreme), including windsurfing and kiteboarding.

  • World Match Racing Tour (World Match Racing Tour TV): Providing continuous online programming from previous events on the premier professional match race circuit.

  • Yachting TV (Yachting TV): A UK based online TV show for cruiser sailors. Each of their programmes are free to view for a month online and then available to buy from their archive. Show subjects include pilotage, boat reviews, sailing skills, etc.

    ESPNU broadcasts the 2009 Gill College Nationals Sailing Championship presented by Rolex.

    Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 3:00pm eastern time on ESPNU

    For the fifth year ESPNU's presentation of college sailing features the top young sailors competing for this trophy that dates back to 1937. Onboard cameras and microphones highlight the action of 123 sailors from the most competitive 18 schools in the nation. On the final day of racing the two front runners, St. Mary's College of Maryland and Yale University, were separated by just seven points with only eight races left to sail. After several lead changes St. Mary's College prevailed in dramatic fashion. All 36 races took place off the St. Francis Yacht Club in brisk winds.

    Among the spectators was sailing champion Paul Cayard who talks about all aspects of the sport with host Gary Jobson. This one hour program is schedule to air on ESPNU on Saturday, June 20 at 3:00pm eastern time.
