Hungarians Cruise To Flying Dutchman World Title

Santa Cruz, CA (September 30, 2012) Hungary’s Szabolcs Majthenyi and Andras Domokos took the 2012 Flying Dutchman World title, hosted by Santa Cruz YC (Sept. 25-30), with a day to spare. The 43-boat fleet completed nine races, with the top North American entrant Lin Robson/Adriaan Schmal (USA) finishing 16th. American Steve Bourdow, Olympic silver medal winning Flying Dutchman crew at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, finished 18th with skipper Philippe Kahn.
