Published on March 25th, 2013

The 29er class attracted 29 boats to the Midwinters West, held in Coronado, CA on March 22-24. Skippers Duncan Williford and Quinn Wilson paced the field, representing their home states of Florida and California, respectively, with east beating west by five points after 12 races. Notable in the field was two-time Olympic medalist Charlie McKee, high-performance director of the U.S. Olympic sailing program, enduring a significant weight disadvantage to post a respectable 10th place. – Full results
