Where did I leave my sail?

The Garda Optimist Meeting was the brainchild of Verona architect and former regatta judge, Marco Mamone, who came up with the idea of organising an event for very young sailors. In 2012 the event entered the record books by setting a Guinness World Record as the largest single-class regatta in the world with 1055 out of the 1072 registered participants completing at least one race. In 2013 it could break its own world record as pre-registrations reach 1300.
