Optimist North American Championship 2013

Published on July 10th, 2013

Hamilton, Bermuda (July 10, 2013) – After a lack of wind Tuesday kept the 176 competitors at the Optimist North Americans ashore, light but sailable conditions today allowed for one race to complete the seven race championships. Argentina’s Dante’s Cittadini continued his consistent romp, scoring a 3rd place to win the regatta by comfortable margin of 12 points over Singapore sailor Samuel Neo. Neo steadily rose through the ranks throughout the event to equal his 2nd place finish at the 2012 Optinam in Mexico last year. Martina Pisani from Argentina took the 3rd overall position and the top female spot. – Event website
