U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Champs – Day 1

Marion, MA (July 17, 2013) – Dana Rohde (Richmond Hill, GA) wasted no time in surging to an early nine point lead through four races on Day 1 of the U.S. Junior Women’s Singlehanded Championship (USJWSC). Rohde, who finished third at last year’s event in Chicago, won the first three races of the day and placed fourth in Race 4 in the 42 boat Laser Radial fleet on Buzzards Bay. The US Sailing Development Team member is making her fifth appearance at the USJWSC and is in search for her first win at the event. – Full report
