29er Worlds – French Into the Lead

Aarhus, Denmark (July 29, 2013) – After five hour delay due to a dead calm, the second day of qualifying for the 2013 29er Worlds got back on track. Two more races were held in 8 knots which fell to 6 knots during the final race, enough to count for all competitors.

ISAF Youth World champions Lucas Rual and Emile Amoros of France moved into the lead with two bullets for the day. New Zealand’s Isaac McHardie with Micah Wilkinson on the wire sit in second followed by brothers Quinn and Dane Wilson of the USA in third. Monday’s leader Charlie Wyatt and Tom Siganto of Australia fell to fourth in the lighter winds. Ragna and Maia Agerup of Norway remain the top female team.

Qualifying finishes on Tuesday, July 30 followed by three days of the final series. Twenty-five nations are representing all continents among the 213 entries.
